Punk finds a new Base

Live at Base is holding a night of live punk music on Friday, February 17, bringing the city of Glasgow to Hawick.

First to perform at the town’s Base Niteclub on Baker Street is local punk trio Spat, followed by Glasgow’s very own “riot grrrls” Scragfight. Finally, Glasgow street punk band Splinter play in the Hawick club as part of their Scottish tour.

Event organiser Haley Mcafee said: “It’s a night of original D.I.Y punk, so if you like it loud and raw, it’s a must!”

Doors open at 8pm with the first band on at 9pm. Tickets cost £5 on the door, which includes entry into the club after midnight. (Over-18s only.)
