Tickets are now available for a special one-off concert in Galashiels – featuring one of the best known choirs in the UK.

Treorchy Male Choir travel to Galashiels in August for the performance, having sung across the world.

The 130-year-old ensemble has given several Royal Command performances and appeared alongside many international entertainers.

It will be joined by conductor Dr Haydn James, who has led the singing at more than 80 international matches at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.

Treorchy appear in the Volunteer Hall, Galashiels, on Saturday, August 10, at 7pm, with the concert benefiting local charity, the Rowan Boland Memorial Trust.

Tickets, priced £20, can be bought by contacting Keith Irvine on 07773 142226.

The choir also performs at the Trust’s sportsmans dinner on Thursday, August 8.

Speeches will be made by Finlay Calder and Jim Leishman, among others, and tickets, £30, are available from a member of the RBMT committee.
