Peebles High School students and members of the community choir InChorus joined forces to promote their Christmas concert – and were amazed when Santa appeared to lend his support.
He proved to be a real cracker as he joined in the fun during a break from rehearsals for the December 7 event.
The school’s choir and brass ensemble will make a major contribution.
School rector Campbell Wilson commented: “Our students love being given the opportunity to perform, and doing so alongside InChorus can only raise their game. We are determined that our school connects with all aspects of our wider community, and to partner a community choir that has done so much to bring people together feels like a very natural progression.”
The choir’s musical director, Andrew Russel, said:“We are delighted to help the school in achieving targets for their special projects, particularly where music is concerned. InChorus already includes students from the school and we want to continue attracting young people to come along and just enjoy singing.”
Students will provide front-of-house services for the Parish Church concert and goodies from the home economics department.
