Youth Music Forum is hosting a workshop to help music organisations and forum members learn more about funding opportunities, as well as provide information and guidance on putting in an appliction to the Youth Music Initiative (YMI) informal sector fund.
Guest speakers will include Raymond Black, development officer, Creative Scotland, Gillian Harrison, support networks officer, Voluntary Arts Scotland (TBC) and Carol Sinclair - Edinburgh and East Central advisor, Cultural Enterprise.
Borders Arts Trust and the Creative Arts Business Network’s creative business advocate for music are also being invited.
The event, which is being held at the Kingsknowes Hotel in Galashiels on Sunday, starts at 6pm with a finger buffet, soup, tea and coffee, followed by short presentations by Creative Scotland, Cultural Enterprise and Voluntary Arts Scotland. There will then be a question-and-answer session, followed by networking opportunities.
The event is timed to coinicide with the deadline for Creative Scotland’s YMI informal sector fund in December.
