Male voice choir to raise the roof for dry rot fund

The latest fundraiser at Selkirk Parish Church takes place next Wednesday evening (October 19) at 7.30pm.

The occasion is a Dry Rot concert with the ever popular Hawick PSA Male Voice Choir returning to the scene of earlier sell-out events.

With them will be the chorus from Selkirk Amateur Operatic Society who will open the show with hit songs from, among others, next spring’s show Carousel.

Setting the feet tapping will be local folk group Gael Force, who are also great favourites with Selkirk audiences.

All proceeds go to the church’s Dry Rot Appeal and it’s a case of “first come, first served” for the best seats, with doors opening at 7pm.

Entry is payable at the door, priced £6 (concessions £4).

During their performance, the PSA choir will be showcasing some of the numbers they will be singing the following week in their hometown in support of Combat Stress, the forces support group.
