The Jensen Interceptors kick off a nationwide tour on Saturday with a gig in the George and Abbotsford Hotel in Melrose.
Formed at the end of last year, the five-piece has a pedigree to rival the classic hand-built car which inspired its name.
It is led by pride of Peebles, Gary Martin on vocals, harmonica and slide guitar, and comprises Galashiels- based Keith Johnson on bass and a trio of Glasgow-based session musicans: Al Brown (guitar), Kirk Lothian (keyboards) and Stuart Spence (drums).
Expect stunning leftfield interpretations of numbers from Little Walter and the Fabulous Thunderbirds along with new songs.
The show starts at 8pm and admission is £6.
