Selkirk’s Incorporation of Hammermen paid their tribute to Robert Burns when they gathered in the Lesser Victoria Hall on Saturday for their traditional supper.

The proceedings were overseen by Deacon Kevin Fairbairn and got underway with Andrew Bunyan piping in the haggis carried aloft by David Main.

The Immortal Memory to the bard was proposed by Andrew Johnson before Hawick’s Michael Aitken recited Tam o’ Shanter. David Deacon proposed the Toast to The Lassies and The Last Word came from ex-Hammermen’s Standard Bearer Keiran Riddell.

Entertainment was provided by Jimmy Gibb, Drew Richardson and Tommy Knox, with ex-Standard Bearer Darren Munro proposing the vote of thanks.
