Friday saw crowds gather in the Wauchope Hall for the installation of Yetholm’s Bari Gadgi and Bari Manushi for 2014-15.
This year’s Bari Gadgi is 24-year-old local lad Scott Gillies. Bari Manushi is Rebecca Mather.
Scott told us: “It is a great privilege to be chosen to be the Bari Gadgi and represent the village. I am looking forward to the whole of Festival Week, especially the Stob Stanes ride-out, which will be my first time, so I’m a bit nervous, but excited as well.”
