As part of a concert series in California in 2013, Paul was commissioned to create the live score of music to celebrate the comedy cartoon’s 50th anniversary.
The three cartoons were Toro Pink, Pink of Arabee and Yankee Doodle Pink, and were enthusiastically received on the Californian tour.
Paul will reprise this piece of work at Film in the Park on Sunday, August 17.
He said: “I’m delighted to be able to perform these pieces again. It was a great experience to write and perform the original work and I am looking forward to presenting it to a local audience.
“It will take people back to the days of silent films when there was only musical accompaniment to the film.”
Paul’s presentation will open the evening of entertainment at Film in the Park and will be followed by the screening of the original film classic The Pink Panther (with sound).
The event starts at 6pm for those who want to picnic, with the first film beginning at around 8.15pm.
Film in the Park is a free ticketed event, but tickets are limited – pop along to the VisitScotland box office at Heart of Hawick or phone 01450 360688 to book.
