Jottings from a notebook: genital jokes, fart jokes, beating up on people jokes, puke jokes, sex jokes, gay jokes, goofy cop jokes. Chris Rock wasted. Steve Buscemi – why? Adam Sandler plays nice.

All that can be added to this list of contents is a question: are the jokes funny? No. What are they? Embarrassing.

After the success of Grown Ups there had to be a sequel, but not one that is DOA. With the possible exception of the fat guy (Kevin James), the actors tread water.

Adults being more stupid than their kids is a given in life and in the movies. Preferring to hang with his middle-aged mates back in their old home town, rather than staying close to Salma Hayek, proves that Sandler is losing his edge.

Grown ups? Grown downs more like.
