BLBS AILSA TROPHY MATCH: Saturday, June 4 – At Thirladean, first arrows loosed at 11am. Ettrick Forest Archers host this prestigious competition, open to longbow archers from Scotland and all-Ireland. This will be contested over a Western Round.

BLBS CELTIC NATIONS CLOUT: Sunday, June 5 – At Thirladean, first arrows loosed at 11am. The club keeps hold of its guests from across the Irish Sea as they also host this double clout round, to which archers from Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, Isle of Man and Cumbria are also invited. It is hoped the Scots will do as well as last year, where they won both the senior and junior titles. Spectators will be made most welcome on both days.

JS CRAWFORD MELROSE FUN RUN: Sunday, June 5 – Starting at St Mary’s School, Melrose (from 12 noon). The 5km (3 mile) route is suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs. Further information at www.jscrawford.co.uk

NATIONAL UNDER-15S KNOCK-OUT CUP: Friday, June 3 – The Borders remaining Under-15s team, Gala CC, travel to Edinburgh to take on an SMRH outfit that boast a few Borderers for a place in the Quarter Finals.
