More than 360 runners, dog walkers, parents with pushchairs and a Tigger tackled the annual Borders Fun Run in aid of Multiple Sclerosis on Sunday in Melrose. The 5km circular course took in the iconic swing bridge to Gattonside and along the banks of the Tweed, before heading back to Melrose. First runner back was At Mary's gap student, Lachlan Glaves from Australia, who completed the course in under 20 minutes. Organiser and sponsor Michael Crawford enthused: 'What an event! The determination and speed with which some of the youngsters tackled the route bodes well for Scotland's athletic future.' All enjoyed the day immesely, although the girls on the right look like they would have rather been a bit further away from the starter's horn
