The Scotsman Rugby Show, presented by the former Scotsman chief rugby writer David Ferguson, has won the innovation award at the Scottish Press Awards.
The series of programmes, featuring interviews, features and action, proved a hit with fans of the game across the country.
Stuart Cameron, of Borders Rugby Television, based in Selkirk, produced the first 17 programmes.
Kelso resident and ex-Southern sports editor Ferguson has now left The Scotsman to set up Ferguson Media, while Cameron has launched SC Media, so while there will be no more editions of the programme, rugby coverage from the pair will continue elsewhere.
Borders Rugby TV comes to an end this month after six years of providing coverage online, but both men are looking forward to working together again on other projects in the future.
Ferguson said: “The Scotsman Rugby Show showed how we can take quality journalism to the online platform and make it relevant and attractive, and in a way that complements the newspaper coverage.
Cameron added: “It’s always been important to me to go the extra mile and put the hours in.”
