There were mixed fortunes for the remainder of the Borders clubs in National and Championship league action last weekend.

Peebles nearly got the double over Stewart’s Melville but lost out 16-9, Greg Raeburn scoring all the Peebles points with three penalties.

Kelso posted a good 29-25 win at Hillhead Jordanhill, with a try bonus. Dom Buckley, Michael Robertson and Kieran Cooney scored tries, along with Murray Hastie who kicked a penalty and three conversions.

In Championship B, Hawick YM lost 10-38 to Kirkcaldy. Alistair Turnbull and Neil McColm scored the tries.
