LINDEN gained their first East League Division One win of the season in a more convincing fashion than the scoreline suggests.
The Royal Blues came flying out of the blocks and a long pass was picked up by Ross Armstrong, who found Samisoni Rakabu, and, with a lovely step, the full-back beat his man to sprint over.
With the visitors never having been in the game at the 25-minute mark, as is often the way, they went up the other end and scored, and there was much head shaking amongst the home support at half-time as to how their team could play such excellent rugby, hold the upper hand for the majority of the half and end level at 5-5.
A second try eventually came for the home team when Rakabu went over again, while Stuart Williams and Shaun Fairburn also touched down, with Nathan Mather converting one.
Linden welcomed back prop Terry Skeet from long-term injury.
