Peebles wander past Murrayfield

Peebles 43

Murrayfield Wanderers 10

RBS CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE B

TWO tries each for Warren Kearney and James Hemara set up a comfortable bonus-point win for Peebles.

Greg Raeburn put the Pee’s ahead with a penalty on nine minutes, but Murrayfield struck back when Roger Hastings powered over.

Another Raeburn three points was followed by a Conor Blyth try after good work by Martin Cruikshank and Donald Anderson.

And by half-time, Peebles were almost out of sight as another Raeburn three points was added to by Hemara’s first try for a 21-5 lead.

No8 Kearney notched his first score of the day from a five-metre scrum before Wanderers scored their second try.

But it was always going to be Peebles who won the match, and further scores from Kearney and Hemara sealed the game in style.
