THE Scottish Borders District Union Sevens celebrates its centenary when the tournament kicks-off at Riverside Park, Jedburgh, on Saturday.
First won in 1911 by Newington, Hawick YM will be defending the title they earned at Netherdale last season.
The centenary event also sees the return of Hawick Linden to the tournament after a brief hiatus.
Walkerburn and Earlston open proceedings, which kick-off at 1pm.
Hosts Jed A are on second against Gala YM while Hawick YM have a bye to the second round and will play Peebles A.
As well as the cup competition there is also a plate tournament for the teams who lose out in the first and second rounds.
Admission to the tournament is £3 for adults, with children admitted free of charge.
First round: Walkerburn v Earlston; Gala YM v Jed A; Gala A v Selkirk A. Second round: Winner (Walkerburn v Earlston) v Kelso A; Winner (Gala YM v Jed A) v Hawick Linden; Hawick YM v Peebles A; Winner (Gala A v Selkirk A) v Melrose A.
