Stewart’s Melville FP17
Jed managed to claw themselves back a bonus point in the latter stages of this match having been 17-0 down until the last 10 minutes.
The visitors took control in the early stages as their heavier forwards proved difficult to handle. By half-time they were a converted try and a penalty goal to the good with another converted try, courtesy of the brutal Stew-Mel forwards, coming after the restart.
Patience paid off for the hosts, however, and after creating a four-man overlap after 70 minutes, winger Mark Burke galloped over to touch down. With a minute to go, James Hogg added another, converted by Donald Grieve, but it was too late for Jed, who slip to ninth.
