EAST DIVISION ONE

HAWICK Linden got back to winning ways with a convincing eight-tries-to-two victory over Lismore at Volunteer Park.

Lismore took the lead with an early penalty, but the Teries hit straight back with tries from Nathan Murray (2), Farmer and Ben Gilchrist and two conversions from Gavin Stirling, giving them a 24-3 lead at the break.

The visitors responded after the restart with an excellent converted try by their dangerous full back before Linden took the initiative again, adding tries from Graham Colville, Chris Brown and Steven Beattie, who converted his own.

A Linden dropped pass allowed the visitors in for a second converted try, but the Royal Blues had the final word when lovely hands along the line saw Lee Robson give the final scoring pass to Beattie.
