Hornets devour breakfast

Have your say

An early start was had by many Hornets at Melrose Rugby Club on Sunday morning.

They turned out in force to watch the Rugby World Cup final and have a Big Breakfast to raise funds for the primary six and seven spring tour next year. Approximately 120 parents and children watched the match and ate an extremely hearty breakfast to raise £948.

This great result was achieved by the generous support of Donaldson’s Butchers of Earlston, Martin Baird of Melrose, J C Douglas of St Boswells, Calder Eggs of Earlston, Cackleberry Eggs and Marilyn & Mike McCall for all their help and black puddings.

Thanks were made to all the parents who mucked in with the cooking, tidying and washing up.
