All five Borders teams involved in first round BT Scottish Cup action secured safe passage through to the next stage last weekend.

Hawick YM got their campaign off to a solid start with a 34-20 victory over Dalziel at Mansfield Haugh. Try scorers for YM were Matthew Douglas, Shaun Fairbairn, Ross Gibson, Sam Bandeen, Scott Peffers with Matthew Douglas slotting three conversions and a penalty.

Peebles recorded a 66-7 win over Greenock Wanderers, while Kelso sailed through to the next round without even touching a ball after their opponents, Hillhead Jordanhill, forfeited the tie due to lack of front row cover. See corresponding reports for Selkirk and Jed-Forest on this page.
