Melrose back-row John Dalziel has been selected to skipper the Co-optimists squad in their festive fixture against Edinburgh Accies.

The invitational side will take on Simon Cross’ Premier B men at Raeburn Place on Tuesday, December 28 at 2pm.

The squad has been selected from Premier A and B teams with co-operation from the Scotland club international coaches so they can run the rule over players ahead of matches in February and March. Scott Wight and Fraser Thomson, also Melrose, have also been selected.
