WARM weather on Sunday, May 1 brought 75 competitors from all over the country to Peebles for the second round of the Scottish Mountain Bike Orienteering series.
The Gytes Leisure Centre acted as the event centre for a superb course designed by Rosemary Byde.
Checkpoints were scattered over a 90km2 area which included the Meldon Hills, Cademuir and Glentress Forest.
Each competitor had three hours to pick a route around as many of the 30 checkpoints as they could without gaining penalty points by arriving back late.
Katie and Robin Munro won the generation class with 275 points, Outi Kamarainen and Richard Scarborough won the mixed teams with 315 points, Alison Gillies was the top female rider with 305 points and Andrew Windrum was the top male rider with a superb 406 points.
