Waverley wins

Waverley A clinched the Division One title in dramatic fashion last week.

Nikis A pushed the Hawick outfit close by dumping Red Lion 11-0, but the plucky Teries fought back from 4-1 down to defeat St Boswells Legion.

At the bottom, Nikis B and Red Lion are relegated, while past champions White Swan Earlston ended a dismal season by pipping Bridge A.

In Division Two it’s a battle royal as Fleece lead the High Level and Abbotsford by one point going into the last fixture. All three are at home, so it’s all set up for an exciting finish.

Fleece won the last three frames to edge Dryburgh, while Abbotsford just held on against Waverley B. High Level had a free week and White Swan, Kelso sunk Ship B.
