Local speedway rider Liam Carr made his track return at Berwick at the weekend, eight months after suffering serious ligament damage.
The Tweedmouth youngster, who last year had a spell racing with his home-town Bandits, put in a few practice laps at Shielfield.
And he admitted it felt better than expected.
The track looked a little bumpy, but to be honest it wasn’t too bad,” he said.
“I am back riding a lot sooner than I expected and I now want to get in a few practice sessions like this before starting to look for a National League side so I can start racing again.”
