On a dry and fast St Boswells pitch, cut especially for 20/20, Selkirk faced a daunting task against the hosts last Thursday night.

And so it proved.

The visiting bowlers managed to hold firm for most of the match but, with the score at a very attainable 97, Keith Farnish came out to partner Aussie Mark Williams to take 16 off the last two overs to leave a more respectable score of 113.

In return, Selkirk started brightly, but again Williams proved a thorn in the side of the Souters, taking his first fiver at St Boswells, leaving Selkirk 15 short of the total and the hosts clear winners in what was a good-humoured and enjoyable match.
