Villagers brought back to earth

Musselburgh beat St Boswells by 169 runs

After the delight of picking up their first win last week, it was back to earth with a rather heavy bump for St Boswells as they were beaten by 169 runs at home to Musselburgh.

Missing eight first-team players, this was always going to be a tough day for the home side.

Musselburgh, having won the toss, elected to bat first, posting 192 all out.

Minus five of their usual bowlers, this was a great effort from Bossie to keep the score down and take the 10 wickets.

However, the Villagers were restricted to 23 all out from 19.5 overs, R. Ullah taking 7 for 9 and J. Robertson 3 for 13 off his 10 overs.
