SCOTTISH BORDER VAULTERS (SBV) travelled to Kingsbarn, near Falkirk, for the Scottish Equestrian Vaulting Championships last month, and gave a good performance in all classes.

The Intermediate and Pre-Novice teams, both lunged by Helen Rogerson and performing on Zigourney, were both fourth in their respective classes. The Novice team, lunged by Margie Younger, and performing on Green Ash, were also fourth.

In the Pas de Deux, Samantha Martin and Amber Graham came third, while Amy Hardie and Amy Purves were fourth.

Walk teams were first and third in their respective classes. Other highlights included Zoe Palmer and Emma Stenhouse, who were third and fourth in walk individual over nine years, while Katie and Rory McFadyen were third and sixth in walk individual under-nines.

Perhaps the best results of the day came in the highly-competitive Novice canter individual class, where out of 35 competitors, Eilidh Steel came second, Sam Corson, fourth, Karrie Petty, seventh, Minta Younger, eighth, and Kate Horne ninth.

SBV are now looking forward to the British Championships in October where they hope to consolidate and improve on these results.
