GALASHIELS

PLEASANT conditions saw a field of 12 riders embark on their second 25-mile time trial of the season.

Kitted out in their new strips, they set off up the A7, battling to improve their previous times. The winner on the night was Gary Robson with an effortless time of 57.53.

ON MONDAY night, Kelso Wheelers held sprint time trials over one mile and one kilometre on the Sprouston course, 18 riders took part in both.

The 1km was first to be run, with 13 riders recording personal best times. Rob Ure, the current champ for the last two seasons, made it three in a row, winning in 1.12pb.
