Berwick’s New Year Sprint-winning teenager Cameron Tindle has added to his 2015 success by triumphing in the 60m event at last weekend’s National Open meeting at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

Coached by Eyemouth’s Henry Gray and Bruce Scott from Earlston, the 16-year-old schoolboy set an indoor PB of 6.94 for the 60m sprint to win a race, which included top indoor duo Ryan Oswald and Stephen Dunlop.

The victory has earned Tindle a Scotland place in the Sainsbury’s Glasgow international next weekend, alongside Berwick training partner and Glasgow Commonwealth Games 800m finalist Guy Learmonth.
