DURING the final assembly of the autumn term headmaster Liam Harvey of St Mary’s School in Melrose presented cups for performance in rugby and hockey.

As well as playing for St. Mary’s the cup winners also train with some of the following clubs: Gala Red Triangle, Southport Sharks, Alnwick Rugby Club,Kelso Cougars, Selkirk Mini hockey and Fjordhus Reivers hockey club.

The Abbey Park Cup for the senior rugby player of the year - Christopher Bell; Nigel Scott Kicking Cup - Finlay Rutherford; Peter Baker Cup for the best performing forward: Charlie Campbell and Finlay Rutherford; Senior Tackling Quaich - Harri Morris; Coach and Players Player of the Year - Fergus Burn; Bell Cup for the most promising junior player (U11) - Harry Stephen: John Patterson Cup for Squad Rugby - Percy and Douglas (Houses).

Lamb Cup for the most improved senior hockey player - Mia Harvey; Aird Smith Cup for the most promising junior hockey player (U11) - Lucy Bell and Stephanie Wright; Hogg Shield for Squad Hockey - Percy (House).
