Borders athletes were well represented at St Andrews Highland Games on Sunday, where they capped a fine weekend on the pro running circuit.

Jedburgh’s Andrew Thomson made it three wins in one weekend when adding the senior 400m title to his 400m and 800m victories at Langholm. In the youths’ 200m, it was a Borders one-two-three when Aiden Bambrick (Jed AC), Jack Houten (Cardrona) and Brodie Cowan (Jed AC) took the respective places. In the sprint events, Craig Bruce (Selkirk) won the senior title, while Sarah Turnbull (Peebles) took the youths’. Pictured is Andrew Thomson (no 11) on his way to winning the 400m Open at Langholm, see full report and more pictures on pages 84 and 85.
