TWO Borders Pool players made it to the last four of the re-arranged Scottish Trials, but unfortunately both lost out in the final round robin.
Craig Reid showed some sparkling form to blow away Niki’s Bar team-mate Kev Mackay and a few other class players before falling at the final hurdle.
McKay recovered some momentum to scrape through, although his Mr Consistency tag was missing on the day.
The experience will prove invaluable for both players, who are looking forward to next year’s tour which starts in January.
Also this week, Border League members are celebrating the announcement that the league has a new major sponsor for the next three seasons in Automatic Choice.
