The third of four play days of the Aitken Turnbull Border Netball League took place at the Gytes in Peebles on Sunday.
A much-improved performance from Peebles U-13 A ensured a confident first game win over Hawick U-13 A, with a fine demonstration of shooting, from Alana Craigmile in particular, producing a 28-5 scoreline.
After losing their midweek match against Earlston, Berwickshire HS U-14s were determined not to allow any more upsets, and after a shaky start in the second game of the day got into a flow to leave them easy 18-5 winners against Peebles.
Peebles U-13 A took to the court again to take on Hawick U-13 B, and proved just too strong for the Teries.
Last up were Berwickshire HS U-13s, in fine form after a superb midweek Scottish Schools Cup second round win over Renfrewshire’s Gryffe HS.
The team once again produced the goods to take full points against Peebles U-13 B 18-5.
The day produced new joint leaders, with Peebles U-13 A and Berwickshire HS U-14s now sharing top spot, but Peebles having one game in hand.
The final league day is on Sunday, March 13, from noon to 4pm and promises to be a cracker. Spectators are welcome.

The first-year side defeated Castlehead 27-18 in Paisley to make the quarter-finals of their competition
The second-year team made the long trip to Aberdeen to take on Robert Gordon’s and, having won the national first year title last year, triumphed comfortably by 51-3.
