The traditional Muckle Toon Whisky Run took place on New Years morning in fine weather but with the roads a bit slippy in places.

The event continues to increase in popularity and this time 76 runners and walkers took part. The fastest finisher of the course, which covers just over eight miles, and winner of the bottle of whisky was Andy Render of Annan with a time of 54 minutes 56 secs.

Young Michael Kerr, also from Annan, was second in 57.58 while Lawrence Friell of Langholm was third in 1 hour 11 secs with fourth place going to Cliff Graham of Langholm.

Charlie Graham once again organised things and thanks go to Jim and Ann at Potholm Farm, and Mike and Alison Tinker for helping with times etc.

Thanks go to all those who took part in the run and helped raise £159 for the Langholm Day Centre.
