Matheson takes up Greenlaw post

Greenlaw CC held their AGM last week, bringing to an end the presidency of Malcolm Macintyre, whose two years in office passed without scandal or outrage, writes Alistair Lindsay.

His successor is Helen Matheson, whose tireless efforts are a significant part of Borders curling history, and no doubt she will inspire the club to great things.

Her understudy is to be David Prentice, who will no doubt make his own mark.

Peter Bowyer and Dave Brown were re-elected en-bloc as secretary and treasurer respectively and Ian Dykes was voted as a lifetime vice-president as a second generation to have administered both Greenlaw and BIRC – well done to a true and faithful servant.

Don’t forget the Province AGM, and also the Ladies’ AGM this evening.
