The autumn orienteering season is now in full swing and a large contingent of Roxburgh Reivers headed to Hopetoun House, South Queensferry for the East of Scotland Championships.

There were wins for Pauline McAdam W60, Cathy Rooney W55, Sarah McAdam W21 and Barry Veitch M40. Ian Maxwell was second on M55 after leading for much of the race and Sam McKinnon deserves a mention for running up to a more difficult course than his M14 required and coming second.

Lindsey Knox travelled to Chester for the latest round of the UK Urban League which consisted of a tricky sprints around the town and an army camp. Being beaten by her nearest rival by 22 seconds leaves Knox in second place overall with four rounds to go.

The first in the local events is at Selkirk Hill this Saturday. More at www.roxburghreivers.org.uk
