On Thursday night in the Guy Roberts Hall in Duns, a martial arts grading was held, where a number of students were successful in gaining higher grades in their chosen art.

In Kung fu, Lauren Simpson, Stuart Linsay and Tim Boyle gained their white sashes and Daniel Hutchison attained his orange sash. In kickboxing/self-defence, the following awards were gained: Macy Lunn (junior white belt), Edan Repper (junior yellow belt), Sam Shepherd (junior orange belt), Rosanne McGillvery (orange belt), Freja Allen (junior purple belt), Finn Cameron (purple belt) and Ewan Allen (brown belt). All candidates worked extremely hard and displayed a rewarding attitude throughout the grading.
