KELSO WHEELERS

ON MONDAY night the Wheelers held a 10-mile time trial on the Birgham course.

Nineteen riders took part with three riders in their first season – Gavin Ford, Ian Fairly and Alistair Martin – recording personal best times.

Mike Burgher made it two in a row, taking the honours in 23 minutes and three seconds.

A double-header this week saw the racers take on 10-mile and 25-mile time trials in cold, windy conditions. Despite riding with a cold, David Johnston picked up wins in both.

Racing continued at the weekend with Johnston and McGreal racing in the Stirling 10-mile time trial. Johnston, still a touch under the weather, clocked 24.01 with McGreal on 24.31.
