THE Border Ladies Bowling Association league reached its conclusion last week with only one point separating the top two teams.

Overall winners were Kelso, with Buccleuch runners-up for the second year in a row. Kelso will also receive a trophy for the top shot at the ladies’ dinner to be held in the Kingsknowes Hotel on Friday, September 16.

The ladies’ Champion of Champions was played on the Hawick green with Hawick’s Joyce Dickie securing a comfortable win over Margaret Aitkin of Melrose.
