Kelso beat Falkland II by 40 runs
EAST LEAGUE DIVISION FOUR
KELSO defeated top-of-the-table Falkland in a low-scoring match at Scroggie Park.
Once again, Dougie Wilson top-scored for the Tweedsiders with 30, while Ben Grindell batted for 44 deliveries to record what turned out to be a valuable 12 to help the Borders to a total of 95 all-out.
Pick of the Falkland bowlers was Michael Watson with a five-wicket haul.
Falkland’s reply was very slow as the Kelso bowlers were firmly on top on an unpredictable wicket.
Mikele and Gallacher were the only Falkland batsmen to make double figures as the Davidson brothers Greg and Callum took five wickets between them along with some great fielding by the whole team which allowed Kelso to restrict the home team to 55 all out.
