ETTRICK Forest Archer Jimmy Stillie capped a fine season in BLBS clout competitions by nabbing the very trophy his son Martin won last year.
Jimmy also claimed the second round medal in the last of the season’s competitions at Mugdock last Sunday, after which the presentations for the series took place.
The Scottish clout series is based on the best five scores from a possible eight competitions over the season.
Martin took third, while fellow clubmates were also well-placed. Doug Anderson was fourth, Mike Pearson seventh, and Jim Craig and Kevin Janiak equal 11th.
Anderson was also awarded the improvement salver for the series after bettering last year’s scores by 58.6 per cent.
The club’s Elaine Pearson also shot well over the season – and claimed a rare double clout, pictured left, on the final day on the way to soaring to victory with a score of 49, 148, 4.
However, over the season, she finished runner-up to Highland archer Barbara Campbell.
