Improving Craig nails it for Scotland

Peebles hammer thrower Craig Mullins won his first Scotland call up at the SIAB Schools International meeting at Cardiff in July.

Against some tough competition, the Borders youngster was placed fourth overall and recorded a distance of 54.40m with the 5kg hammer.

The distance recorded was yet again another personal best performance from Craig, as he keeps on improving this season.

As a result of his excellent performance Craig has since been selected to represent Scotland at the televised Sainsbury’s UK Schools Games in Manchester from September 4-7. Before that he has the Scottish Championships in Aberdeen on August 23, where he will attempt to retain his title from last year, and also the English Championships on August 31 in Bedford.
