Hogarth aims for Masters glory

BORDERS darts player Ryan Hogarth is on target for success following his win at the European Open at Airdrie last month.

The 21-year-old from Kelso lifted the title for the second year in a row, thrashing Brian “Pecker” Woods 6-0 in the final.

Hogarth, who plays in both Kelso and Berwick darts leagues, has also qualified for The Winmau World Masters in Hull next month.

Last weekend he was competing at the British Open at Bridlington where he beat reigning world champion Scott Waites 3-2 in the first round before going out 3-1 in the next.
