FJORDHUS REIVERS U185

The closure of the Forth Road Bridge at the weekend did not deter the U18 squad from making the journey to Dundee to play their first match in this year’s U18 Scottish Cup.

The Borders girls settled quickly and soon had Grove under pressure with some slick one touch passing and great spacial awareness. Grove struggled to contain the strong Fjordhus attack and by half time found themselves 3-0 down with goals from Imogen Johnstone-Jones, Kirsty Logan and Tara Aitchison.

Grove started the second half strongly but Fjordhus’s defence held firm. Further goals from Iona Kellett and Tara Aitchison sealed the win.
