Hockey high for St Mary’s girls

St. Mary's 1st hockey team travelled south to the Sedbergh Prep Schools hockey tournament on Sunday. Player of the tournament' was 13 year old Stephanie Wright (right) and Attacking player of the tournament and top goal scorer was 12 year old Lucy Bell.

St Mary’s 1st hockey team travelled south to the Sedbergh Prep Schools hockey tournament on Sunday.

The girls battled hard in horrible weather conditions and were delighted to be runners-up.

They lost their final match by just one goal to The Royal Grammar School, Newcastle.

Player of the tournament was 13-year-old Stephanie Wright (right) and Attacking PoT and top goal-scorer was Lucy Bell, 12.
