Live American Style wrestling, from the World Wide Wrestling League, is coming to the Borders.

A special bout is being staged at the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels on Friday, March 31.

Ever popular with families and children alike, the occasion is set to feature an exciting line-up.

The World Wide Wrestling League is a touring group which presents American Style Wrestling events across the UK.

The organisation hosts some of the biggest names in wrestling from the UK and abroad.

Doors open at 6.30pm for the Galashiels bout, with the first bell at 7pm.

Volunteer Hall will be welcoming the stars of the World Wide Wrestling League (W3L) as wrestlers from around the world return to town to bring action-packed matches featuring heavyweights, ladies and tag team action.

W3 will be taping matches for its weekly internet show , Wrestling Showdown, which is downloaded by wrestling fans through W3LNetwork.com across the world weekly.

Headlining the event will be a double main event, as Nathan Black takes on Danny Boy Rodgers, and former heavyweight champion Mike Musso battles former tag team champion Danny Boy Rodgers.

The event will also see stars from W3L’s Womens Devision as Debbie Sharpe faces Sammii Jayne.

Finally, as a special attraction, the Borders wrestling fans will also be treated to a six-man tag team match.

This event promises bodyslamming action not to be missed!

Tickets are available from www.W3Lwrestling.com and Guess What? in Galashiels’ High Street.

W3’s Mike Musgrave said: “We are a Scottish-based wrestling promotion that, for close to 15 years, has worked hard to put on top quality events around the UK featuring the very best international wrestlers.”
