Euro bronze for Borders curler

Border Ice Rink curler Andrew Reed has arrived home from the European Championships in Switzerland having been part of the Bronze medal-winning England men’s team.

Playing in the B division, the team was in fine form and qualified for the play-offs, where they lost to Finland in their first chance to reach the gold medal match, and then again to the Netherlands. They held their nerve against Hungary, however, to take the third spot.

Reed, who lives near Berwick, is a member of the Glendale Club, who play in the Border League out of the Kelso rink.
