Endurance ends for local riders

THE Borders branch of the Scottish Endurance Riding Club held their final ride of the year on Sunday, starting at Fishwick in Berwickshire.

Despite some dreary weather later on in the afternoon there was a great turnout with riders coming from Argyll and Grampian branches as well as from south of the border.

There were classes for 20km, 30km, 50km, 60km and 80km, and all routes involved long fast stretches of grassland next to the Tweed, while the longer distances made a sortie into England and a 10km stretch along the beach.

The Borders branch would like to thank all organisers and landowners.
