Sunday’s monthly scoring clout competition brought about personal bests for a couple of Ettrick Forest Archers.

In supreme form, Elaine Pearson hit the scoring zone no less than 28 times in the first round, ammassing a huge score of 102, with two clouts – a score that would win most double clout competitions.

Her scoring rate dropped in the second round, but she was still able to post a 53, 165, 4 at the end of the day.

And in the juniors, Kyle Fairbairn amassed a pb of 33, 74, 2.

Doug Anderson pipped Jimmy Stillie to the top spot in the gents’ competition by dint of three more points, despite having fewer hits.
